"Among the groups hit with sanctions is Amana, considered a central arm of the Israeli settler movement. The U.K. is the second country, following Canada, to impose sanctions on Amana in the last few months.
The decision to sanction it suggests that Britain doesn't only see violence against Palestinians as cause for sanctions, but also the very establishment of unauthorized outposts. Amana is headed by Ze'ev Hever, thought to be close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The organization runs a commercial construction company, Binyanei Bar
Amana, and its ultimate goal is adding a million settlers to the West
Bank. A series of Haaretz investigations published in recent years have
found that to achieve this goal, the organization is breaking the law."
