"Peace and reconciliation starts with acknowledging the harm we’ve
caused. Palestinians were not responsible for the expulsion of Jews from
other Arab lands. But the proto-State of Israel was responsible for
the Palestinian Nakba. As long as Israel suppresses any mention or
acknowledgment of this fact, reconciliation cannot happen."
